This lovely cottage is situated in the midst of the peaceful lush green Cortona hills and features breathtaking views over the green woods and forests extending out over the rolling hills. This is an exclusive location for lovers of tranquillity and privacy, hidden amongst the remote natural beauty– a small jewels far from crowds and the masses! Surrounded by a safe carefully attended garden the cottage offers a private pool ( 3*6 m) and all garden furnishings including a pergola for dining al fresco, barbecue and a great pizza oven. Villetta Alena has just been restored in the typical Tuscan style with sealed roofs, original floors, stoned walls and rustic furnishings and offers guests a warm ambience combined with modern comforts including air conditioning. Nearest restaurant is 1 km away. Shops at 8 km. The villa is about 14 km from Cortona of which 4,3 km are non-asphalted but of good condition. Please note that the place is really remote and secluded so for lovers of nature. Sport cars have to be avoided due to the not asphalted road of 4,3 km

Notes white road 4,3 km - Cortona 14 km, Arezzo 40 km, Siena 80 km Guest Book Dear Sabrina, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at the Villetta Alena near Cortona. All the practical details (reservation, payment, reception ) went as promised. Good work. The villa was something of a shock to begin with. I know the description said peaceful but in fact the place was pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the road leading to the house was pretty awful (steep, winding, and after rain, not the smoothest, either). For city-dwellers being in the middle of an Italian forest was quite an adventure. So, the first evening we were pretty shocked at where we had ended up and would have probably changed to anything else. But, as we grew used to the house and the location, we really fell in love with the place and leaving it was truly painful. So, at least from our point of view, it might be good to emphasise the secluded nature of the villetta (without making it difficult to market;). Also: one might point out that one is truly in the wilderness: we had visits from a beautiful hawk, wild boars - we think - outside the fence, a small scorpion in the toilet, a couple of stray dogs who were attracted by the garbage (there was no garbage container...), as well as ca. five beautiful small lizards and somewhat disturbing amounts of bees. In the end, all these contributed to our holiday being a memorable experience - and one we would be prepared to relive again. A special word of thanks to Michele who took care of our practical needs with a smile. So, in all, thank you for making a lovely visit to Tuscany possible.
